Love surfing. And I think Koa is an amazing talent with a likable personality. I wish him well. But the future of professional surfing looks grim. The Aussies have killed pro surfing by taking over the WSL and driving it into the ground. And corporate sponsorship is tired of throwing good money at an almost perpetually losing proposition. Pro surfing is a terrible vehicle to promote surfing products. It’s an even worse vehicle to promote not surfing products. And let’s not even discuss the oligopoly that controls machine-milled surfboards. There are now 40 million surfers worldwide. Yet surf related retail has been a steadily declining sinkhole. Sorry guys, but the days of getting free strike missions all over the globe are going to dry up faster than snot under a schoolroom desk.

Why is this channel constantly being recommended. I thumbs down every vid and communicate that I am not interested. Koa is such an average surfer with ZERO talent. If I wanted to watch kids surf I would go down to kiddy's corner at the end of the beach. " Locals. Crowds. Barrels." ??????..... Try bringing your cameras to a real localized spot with real Locals and not a well known surf spot where any talentless surfer can rock up and record landmarks. Try it.

WOW! Where did that crowed come from? There was a hotel on the beach there when I went 15+ years ago, but nothing else around for miles. Stayed for a few swells and the biggest crowed we had was 8 guys out at once. Is there a bunch more places to stay now, or is there way more Bali boats stopping here?
